The car is also equipped with a dropped front axle, radius rods and ladder bars, front disc brakes, and aluminum wheels, as well as black Mercedes upholstery stitched by Sid Chavers. A 406ci Chevrolet small-block V8 with aluminum heads powers the wheels through a T56 six-speed manual transmission and Winters quick-change rear end.
The windshield has been chopped 3″ and is fitted with a single sideview mirror. King Bee 7″ headlights are mounted up front and pair with 1939 Ford taillights.
Polished 15×5.5″ aluminum front wheels wear Michelin XZX tires, while the 16×10″ rears are mounted with reproduction Firestone dirt-track tires. The front end features a Super Bell 4″ dropped I-beam axle, Durant mono-leaf spring, radius rods, Pete & Jake’s tube shocks, and a Brizio Panhard bar.
