This classic 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is finished in period-correct Fawn Beige Metallic with a black cloth convertible top. It additionally comes with the optional hardtop, which has been restored with a new back window and headliner. It wears its original stainless steel full wheel covers with narrow-band white sidewall tires, and the exterior brightwork has been restored and polished. The Red interior has been retrimmed in 1962 model-year-original equipment seats, carpeting and door panels. Meanwhile, it’s powered by a rebuilt engine and a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission with proper date coding.

Model year 1962 was a transitional year for the Corvette, serving as the very first year of the new 327 CI V-8 engine that would replace the outgoing 283 CI V-8. Although similar in engine architecture with one another by both having identical cylinder center line to center line dimensions, the larger-displacement 327 delivered an elevated level of torque and horsepower. Conversely, 1962 was also the last year of the first-generation Corvette body style that also abandoned the iconic two-tone color option, favoring a more subdued monochromatic paint application.
