It adheres to the original color scheme with its Starlight Black paint, matching top and a gorgeous black leather interior, but under the hood it departs from that theme; the original engine is gone, replaced by a full-bore 421/370 HP Tri-Power V-8 with triple Rochester 2-barrel carburetion and dual exhaust, backed by a BorgWarner T-10 4-speed and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. Many of the car’s components, including some sheet-metal pieces, were meticulously and faithfully reproduced in the absence of NOS parts. Almost every nut and bolt was separated, documented and returned to its original factory finish before reassembly commenced. The finished car incorporates every known available option, including power steering and brakes, power windows and seats, a center console with shifter and tachometer, power vent windows from the Cadillac option list, and rare 8-lug aluminum wheels with integrally cast-iron brake drums.
