The 389ci Tri-Power V8 was factory rated at 348 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque.

Service in November 2021 included cleaning the carburetors, adjusting the valves and the clutch, replacing the rocker arms and two broken exhaust manifold studs, and repainting the cylinder heads, intake manifold, and other parts of the engine.
