This car still has its matching-numbers Turbo-Fire 283 CI small-block V-8 engine, the version with the 4-barrel carburetor, and it’s backed by the vaunted M21 4-speed manual transmission. Where it really shines is the combination of the Code-A Tuxedo Black exterior and a bright red cloth bench-seat interior. Options inside include air conditioning, an AM radio and a wood-rim steering wheel. Driving is aided by power steering and brakes, spiral shocks, real T3-code headlights and LOF date-coded glass. Riding on black steel wheels with Bowtie hubcaps and 7.75 Firestone redline tires, even the jack and spare tire are still in the trunk. Documented with its NCRS shipping data report and the original sales invoice, this was a milestone model for Chevrolet in 1965 and remains a classic to this day.
