1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Numbers-Matching V8 Silver

32 hits ID #9467

Description

Power comes from a numbers-matching 327ci V8 paired with a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in silver over a black interior.

Fiberglass bodywork was finished in Silver Pearl (986) when new, and was repainted in 1983.

Reproduction turbine-style wheels added under previous ownership are secured with three-eared knock-off spinners and wear 205/70-15 Michelin Symmetry whitewall tires. A steel five-lug spare is found in the rear storage area, and a jack and a knock-off hammer are housed under the trunk floor. The car was optioned with power-assisted steering and brakes from new.

The cockpit features bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl along with a matching double-hump dash, door panels, carpets, and Corvette-branded floor mats. Factory amenities include air conditioning along with a vertically-mounted Delco push-button AM/FM radio, a clock, and electric windows.

A wood-look steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, battery charge, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles.
