The 1967 GT500 was refinished in its original Lime Green metallic paint with white Le Mans striping. Distinguished by the Shelby-exclusive lightweight fiberglass hood, trunk lid and side air and brake scoops, its original 428 Police Interceptor engine was replaced with a high-powered 428 Cobra Jet V-8 engine. Rated at 335 HP on the strength of dual inline 4-barrels and dressed with finned aluminum Cobra air cleaner and valve covers, it is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This beautiful big-block Shelby GT is equipped with heavy-duty suspension, power steering, power brakes with front discs, the Extra Cooling Package, Shelby cast aluminum 10-spoke wheels, outboard fog lamps and a black bucket-seat interior complete with a fold-down rear seat, roll bar with inertia reel harnesses, pushbutton AM radio, wood-rimmed steering wheel and full gauges.
