Description

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO WE HAD AN INCREDIBLE 1971 DODGE CHARGER 440 LISTED ... AND ... A GENTLEMAN (WHO WAS A ATTORNEY) CALLED FROM VIRGINIA ... AND ... WANTED TO PURCHASE THE CAR AS A GRADUATION PRESENT FOR HIS SON. YOU SEE ... HIS SON HAD JUST JOINED THE MILITARY AND WAS GRADUATING FROM "BASIC TRAINING" ... AND ... HE WAS SO PROUD OF HIM AND WANTED TO PURCHASE HIS DREAM CAR FOR HIS RETURN AT THE END OF HIS SERVICE. WELL ... WAS ... JUST HOW MUCH I AND MY FAMILY LOVE OUR MILITARY. THE RESPECT WE HAVE FOR THOSE WHO VOLUNTARILY CHOOSE TO RISK THEIR LIFE FOR OUR COUNTRY AND OUR FREEDOMS ... JUST ... OVERFLOWS AT THE PHELPS HOUSE. SO ... AFTER A LONG DISCUSSION ABOUT HIS INCREDIBLE SON, HE OFFERED HIS "PRIDE AND JOY" RESTORED 1972 BUICK SKYLARK AS A PARTIAL TRADE-IN. WELL ... HE HAD ME WHEN HE EXPLAINED WHY HE WANTED TO PURCHASE THE CAR ... SO ... I QUICKLY AGREED. WHEN IT ARRIVED AT THE RANCH ... WE WERE THRILLED. THIS IS ONE "COOL / OLD SCHOOL" SKYLARK. THE BUICK 350 ENGINE SOUNDS AS GOOD AS ANY HOT ROD WE HAVE EVER HAD. IF FACT ...THIS LAST WEEKEND WE ATTENDED THE "EUSTIS CRUISE-IN & CAR SHOW" RIGHT NEXT TO OUR RANCH ... AND ... I ASKED MY SON WHAT HE WAS TAKING ... AND ... HE CHOSE THE SKYLARK. HE SAID IT WAS ONE OF HIS FAVORITE CARS TO DRIVE ... WHICH ... IS AMAZING SINCE WE USUALLY HAVE 20 - 30 HOT RODS HERE AT THE RANCH AT ANY GIVEN TIME ... AND ... HE HAD HIS CHOICE OF WHAT TO TAKE. THIS IS A GREAT CAR ... AND ... FOR THE MONEY, ONE OF THE BEST DEALS WE HAVE EVER HAD TO OFFER. BTW ... IF YOU WANT A GREAT EVALUATION OF THIS CAR .
