1967 Chevrolet Corvair Monza with the 140 HPChevrolet

All All 30 hits ID #8150

1967 Chevrolet Corvair Monza with the 140 HP engine option, with the quad carburetors installed later. The power goes to the wheels via a 2 speed automatic Transmission. The car starts and runs good and you can cruise on down the road in air conditioned comfort! YES! It has A/C, that was added, using original equipment, some time after it left the factory. It blows cold, that's what really matters! The car drives great and is very reliable. The paint is driver quality. It looks nice, even up close. The car has been in Texas for a while and does not have any rust. There is a little surface rust under the trunk floor mat, but can be fixed with some sandpaper and spray paint. The Corvair was produced from 1960 to 1969. Total production was about 1.8 million vehicles. In 1967 they only made 27,253 cars. This car, with the 140 HP engine, A/C with original equipment, that was added after it left the factory and automatic transmission is pretty rare! It remains the only American-designed, mass-produced passenger car with a rear-mounted, air-cooled engine. The name "Corvair" originated as a portmanteau of Corvette and Bel Air.
