The cosmetic refurbishment in 2012 retained the original doors, while the front fenders, grille, front valance, roof, quarter panels, trunk, trim, and numerous other parts were replaced using new components. A 1969 Z28-style hood was installed and the body received a 2-stage repaint in its current burgundy with silver hood stripes. Both the windshield and rear glass were replaced following the repaint, while the rear quarter windows are believed to remain original. Coys C5 18″ wheels measure 7″ wide in the front and 9.5″ in the rear, and all are mounted with Sumitomo HTR ZIII tires. New foam was installed on the seat frames, and the interior seating surfaces were reupholstered in black vinyl. Additional interior updates included a replacement headliner, rear package tray, door panels, seat belts, and other interior trim. The factory dashboard has been retained, though it was refinished in black during the cosmetic restoration. A modern period-look radio is installed in the factory location and paired with Polk Audio DXi690 speakers and a PA660 amplifier. Instrumentation includes a new set of factory-style gauges for water temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage along with a 160 mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500 rpm redline. The replacement odometer shows 1,430 miles. The 383ci small-block V8 was built by Prestige Motorsports in Concord, North Carolina and produced 437 horsepower and 462 lb-ft of torque on the dyno. It is backed by a 3-speed TH350 automatic transmission paired with a rebuilt 10-bolt differential with 3.73:1 gears.
