1958 Chevrolet Apache Fleetside short bed

All All 7 hits ID #8302

1958 Apache Fleetside short bed. It has some modern upgrades as the truck was built 15 years ago. The front portion of the frame is from a Chevy Camaro grafted to the 58 Chevy frame. This has several benefits, the straight axle and leaf springs were removed in favor of the Camaro A arm coil suspension, plus power disc brakes on all four corners, power steering, tilt steering column. The Camaro rear end was also used to complete the package. If you need brake parts, bearings its all available at your local parts store. The motor is a small block chevy 4 bbl, intake and headers. It was built for drivability along with the 700R4 4 speed automatic. The interior is ostrich grain leather buckets with fold down arm rests. It has aftermarket gages and rolls on a new set of polished torque thrust wheels and new low profile tires. The bed has a tool box and spray in bed liner. the paint was done 15 years ago and is good from far but far from good. This truck needs a really good paint job to take it to the next level. The ride and drive is very good, the paint is ok from a distance but when you get up close you see the flaws. the front oil pan seal was leaking and it has been fixed, when the truck sits for a couple weeks it smokes a little at start up and immediately stops, this is due to the valve seals getting old
